There’s more to great looking healthy skin than cleansing and moisturising. Implement these simple tips into your lifestyle regularly for healthy skin and a glowing complexion.

Get rid of old products 

Products that are out of date can be damaging to healthy skin. Once a product is opened, bacteria can get in and spoil it, which can irritate your skin. Make sure to regularly check product dates and throw out ones past their expiration.

Wash your sheets to remove bacteria

Washcloths gather up the grime we wipe off our faces so it makes sense to wash these daily. But did you know that your pillows could also be sabotaging your quest for perfect healthy skin? Dead skin and oils build up on them and could be getting back into your thoroughly cleansed pores. To avoid this wash your pillowcases every 2-3 days.

Chill out

Puffiness and those dark under eye circles are a dead giveaway that you haven’t had enough ZZZ’s. A lack of sleep and stress leads to cortisol (a stress hormone) being released into your body. This can lead to acne breakouts. Make sure to get into a good sleeping pattern to bring more calm into your life.

Mitts off!

Touching your face could be spreading all kind of germs and undoing all your good face cleansing work. Make a conscious effort to stop touching your face (especially those pimples!) and you could notice a big improvement in your skin’s appearance.

Not only is exercise great for you mind and body, it’s also great for your skin. Being active increases circulation meaning your skin’s cells get more oxygen. This helps them to work more efficiently at keeping your face glowing. Not only that, but increased circulation helps to carry toxins and waste away from your cells too, bonus!  Bring on healthy skin!
